Local gas mains need to be modernized which is the reason for several roads in Hounslow to be closed from mid-January to late March.

The work on the gas mains will begin on January 13, Monday, and will hopefully finish on the 20th of March.

The roads that are going to be closed are High Street and Fair Street. There are some bus routes that will be changed until these streets are open again.

Matt Marshall, the Cadent Senior Design Analyst, says that this modernization of the local gas network will provide the community with more safe and reliable gas supplies.

He planned everything so that minimal disruption would be caused.

On January 6, Monday, Mr. Marshall will have a pop-up stand and he encourages everyone that wants to know more about this project to go and learn. It will be on High Street from 10 am to 4 pm on the 6th of January.
